Make a difference in your neighborhood, town or city, community, state, country and the world by being "Salt & "Light".
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:13-
Every day that we wake up, get dressed and go out into the world we have the opportunity to share the love of Christ to those we come in contact with. We are called to be witnesses of God's grace through Jesus Christ. There are many ways we can be "Salt" & "Light" to those we come in contact with. Here are just a few:
- When passing someone in the hall, on the street or in the grocery isle -
Smile and say "Hello" - When waiting in line at your favorite stores busy checkout or at the movie theater
ticket line don't grumble and complain if it is taking too long -
have patience.
- See a neighbor or a co-
working having a problem that you could help with - lend a hand. - Get to know the people around you -
be interested in their lives. - And for goodness sake don't hide your light under a basket -
shine your faith joyfully.
